Yazhini is an Environmental and Civil Engineering graduate with a strong interest in water systems, sustainability, and environmental challenges. Her interest in environmental engineering has been shaped by early exposure to sustainability practices and strengthened through academic training and international research experience during her undergraduate studies. She is motivated by the need to develop practical, data-informed solutions to environmental and public health issues.

She has gained experience working on water-related research and environmental analysis, and is currently involved in research focused on identifying high lead-risk public schools in the United States. Outside of her academic work, she enjoys travelling, meeting new people, and exploring new environments.
